Have you ever read King Dork by Frank Portman? It's a really funny novel about this self-proclaimed king of the dorks and his made-up bands. Of course he gets picked on a ton, but eventually, like everyone in a band, he gets the attention of the ladies. Anyway, it's really good, but probably best for older high school because of some more mature themes. Just wanted to share. (Also, the author is the frontman of the 80s band The Mr. T Experience, if you've heard of them, and on the audiobook version of King Dork it has him singing some of the songs that are written about in the book.)

So, today I met E. Lockhart, Lauren Myracle, and Sarah Mlynowski for their "How To Be Bad" tour, and they're so awesome! I think I need to meet more authors, and you should come to north Florida if you do a book tour sometime soon.
